Trevoh Chalobah Set to Take Over from Guehi in Three Lions National Team

Chelsea defender playing for England

Trevoh Chalobah followed his sibling Nathaniel in playing for England, becoming the twenty-first pair of siblings to earn caps for the England side.

Trevoh Chalobah is likely to link up with the England squad to cover for injured Crystal Palace defender Marc Guehi.

The 26-year-old is set to meet up with the national side for England's remaining World Cup qualifying matches against Albania and Serbia, but it has yet to be made public.

The Three Lions have already booked their place for the upcoming tournament.

Chalobah was given his first selection under England manager Thomas Tuchel in the month of May and then made his debut against the Senegalese team.

In the month of September, Tuchel said Chalobah was unlucky to be left out from the squad for qualifiers against Serbia and Andorra, and also did not select him for the following October fixtures.

Tuchel has been an key figure in Chalobah's career, having handed him his Chelsea debut in the year 2021.

Chalobah has played in nearly all games for Chelsea this season, with the club occupying third spot in the Premier League, in the EFL Cup quarter-finals and in the league phase of the European competition.

Guehi suffered a foot injury in Crystal Palace's Europa Conference League success over the Dutch side last week.

There are expected to be additional inclusions to the squad. Newcastle manager Eddie Howe has announced that both winger Anthony Gordon (hip) and shot-stopper Nick Pope (concussion symptoms) will withdraw from the squad.
