An teenage youth has been judged to life imprisonment with a minimum duration of 16 years for the homicide of other schoolmate Harvey Willgoose during a lunch period.
The perpetrator knifed the victim, also aged 15 years old, into the heart with a large blade at Sheffield's educational institution in February.
Mrs Justice Naomi Ellenbogen removed the anonymity restriction on the perpetrator during the judgment at Sheffield Crown Court.
The victim's mother expressed she felt "like a heavy burden has been removed off my shoulders" following the judgment.
Both teenagers had earlier disputed over digital networks in the days prior to the fatal event.
Mrs Willgoose remarked she was glad the base duration had been determined above the statutory minimum of 15 years.
"My dad has been undergoing cancer therapy through the court proceedings and he just couldn't hold on any longer," she expressed.
Before the murder on February 3rd, Khan and the deceased had chosen conflicting viewpoints in a unrelated disagreement between two other students.
Surveillance video from the date of the incident revealed the killer approaching the deceased in the outdoor area briefly after midday.
Bystanders detailed a situation of "chaos", with people "running, screaming all around" during the aggressive encounter.
Throughout the court case, the defendant testified he had not meant to murder the deceased or cause him grave injury, stating he could not remember what had occurred.
Prosecutors argued that he had "wanted to prove he was hard" and "was aware exactly what he was doing".
"You were the aggressor and... you acted in pain and anger at what you regarded to be his treachery of your relationship," pronounced the court official during the punishment phase.
All Saints Catholic High School issued a announcement conveying that the pupil was "dearly missed every day by the entire school community".
Investigators highlighted the catastrophic consequences of carrying weapons, observing that a "momentary decision" can irreversibly transform multiple futures.
